RE: Mitel 3300 - Fraud Calls every 30 seconds! HELP. Says it's out of service when we attempt calling back, that was a given but worth trying, obviously a spoof/ghost number. In addition, the phone number that shows up on the call display is not operational. At this point I'm beyond myself with everyone saying nothing can be done. Mitel is also saying that the controller does not have any feature to block incoming calls. The provider is telling us that since the service is now digital "PRI" they can't block incoming calls. This has been happening for over a week now - basicly since we finalized the migration. The anoyance is the sequence the "hackers" are using in order to potentially gain access to an outside line ends up constantly ringing the phones located in the security office with many guards who oversee over 1 million square feet of prime real estate. Since we migrated to the 3300 this issue is now emphasized and the calls are occuring on 30 second intervals. For over a year we had been getting reports that fraudulent activity was occuring on the old telco system. We’re unable to block calls on your behalf, but you can check your phone guide to find out how to block them yourself.We just finished migrating to a new Mitel 3300 in one of our main offices and converting all of the existing analogue lines onto a PRI. If you’re an O2 customer and receiving nuisance calls, read our advice on unwanted calls and texts to find out how to stop them. We’ll investigate why the number has been blocked or stopped, and will look to fix the problem as quickly as possible. If you think this has happened to you, get in touch. If forwarding directly doesn't work, try using a System Speed Dial - program your number in as a speed dial number on the System Speed Dial form, then use the Call Forwarding form to send your calls to the speed dial instead of directly to. Occasionally a number may be accidentally blocked or stopped. If your number is an ACD number, they're not twinnable so the Call Forwarding form is the way to do it. There are a few ways in which a number would fall into this category. These numbers will be blocked or stopped by either the originating provider or receiving provider. There is a requirement by Ofcom for O2 to prevent calls from numbers that have been identified as having invalid or incomplete Calling Line Identification (CLI) data.
